Avengers Costumes: Not Just for the Guys

Very often superhero costumes are tailored mainly towards men and boys. There are not always a lot of choices available for women if they want to be a hero for the day. This has begun to change over time and now even traditional male outfits re also available for women. This year, you can get Avengers Costumes not just for men, but women’s versions are available for all the characters.

 There is one female in the group already – the famous Black Widow. This costume is made with women in mind, consisting of a solid black jumpsuit, belts and wrist cuffs. Add a classy pair of black boots to the ensemble and a red wig and you can look just like her in no time.

Just because there are not any other female heroes in the Avengers does not mean you will not find female versions of the costumes. The Captain America outfit for ladies features the traditional red, white and blue with the shield. Instead of the bodysuit, the costume is re-imagined into a dress worn with red boots.
The same can be said for the Thor attire for Halloween. The headpiece and cape are the very similar to the male version. To make it decidedly feminine, the muscular breastplate and arms have been converted into a dress that can be worn with boots. Long blonde hair is all you need to complete the outfit.

You can even find an Iron Woman costume to compliment the Iron Man. Of course, a woman could just simply wear the traditional costume and no one would know any different. However, there is a dress in red and gold that can be worn with an eye mask and some gold boots. You could even wear the traditional gloves with the laser palms.


Trying to portray a female variety of the Incredible Hulk may be tough, but it could be done. Purchasing a male costume and simply wearing that might be the easiest way to proceed. You could probably modify it yourself and not use the mask and just use some green makeup on your face to give it a more feminine look.
You can certainly decide to go the more traditional route in costumes if you wish. Avengers Costumes for females will give the superhero a decidedly sexier look. More people may want to look at the female varieties than the males!
