Children Will Flip Over Avengers Costumes This Year

Before one Halloween has even ended, children are already thinking ahead as to what they will wear the next year. Each season there are a host of different costumes available for kids to choose from. Superheroes are almost always at the top of kids’ lists and this year’s most popular would have to be considered Avengers Costumes. With several popular characters to choose from, children will be actively seeking to dress up as members of this group.

One of the most popular characters in the comic book and the film is the Incredible Hulk. Kids will love dressing up and stomping around with their giant hands and feet and the famous green skin. You can bet that more than one child will be yelling “Hulk smash!” while wearing all their gear.
Many young heroes love the idea of becoming Thor for Halloween. Getting to wear a muscular torso and bulky, muscular arms is just part of the appeal. Having the flowing cape and of course the hammer is what really makes the outfit for most kids.

America’s first hero, Captain America, also has great appeal for the boys. This iconic superhero with his famous blue mask, muscles and red boots makes for a spectacular costume. Don’t forget, of course, to have the famous shield that he carries for protection and as a weapon.
For several years now, kids have been dressing as Iron Man because of the popular movies featuring him. Now that he has appeared in the Avengers movie, he will be even more sought after than before. Kids love the sleek red and gold outfit with that distinctive helmet and his laser palms.

Little girls won’t feel left out when they get to dress as Black Widow this Halloween. It’s great when the girls have a superhero costume they can wear as well. The jumpsuit, belts and wrist cuffs will make her look just like her favorite hero. Add in a red wig and she will feel like she is ready to take on the bad guys.

Cheap Avengers Costumes for children may be harder and harder to find as Halloween draws closer. If your child really wants to be one of these heroes this year, you may want to plan ahead and get everything early on. Once you have the costume he or she really wants, you will be the hero for the day!

Avengers Costumes: Not Just for the Guys

Very often superhero costumes are tailored mainly towards men and boys. There are not always a lot of choices available for women if they want to be a hero for the day. This has begun to change over time and now even traditional male outfits re also available for women. This year, you can get Avengers Costumes not just for men, but women’s versions are available for all the characters.

 There is one female in the group already – the famous Black Widow. This costume is made with women in mind, consisting of a solid black jumpsuit, belts and wrist cuffs. Add a classy pair of black boots to the ensemble and a red wig and you can look just like her in no time.

Just because there are not any other female heroes in the Avengers does not mean you will not find female versions of the costumes. The Captain America outfit for ladies features the traditional red, white and blue with the shield. Instead of the bodysuit, the costume is re-imagined into a dress worn with red boots.
The same can be said for the Thor attire for Halloween. The headpiece and cape are the very similar to the male version. To make it decidedly feminine, the muscular breastplate and arms have been converted into a dress that can be worn with boots. Long blonde hair is all you need to complete the outfit.

You can even find an Iron Woman costume to compliment the Iron Man. Of course, a woman could just simply wear the traditional costume and no one would know any different. However, there is a dress in red and gold that can be worn with an eye mask and some gold boots. You could even wear the traditional gloves with the laser palms.


Trying to portray a female variety of the Incredible Hulk may be tough, but it could be done. Purchasing a male costume and simply wearing that might be the easiest way to proceed. You could probably modify it yourself and not use the mask and just use some green makeup on your face to give it a more feminine look.
You can certainly decide to go the more traditional route in costumes if you wish. Avengers Costumes for females will give the superhero a decidedly sexier look. More people may want to look at the female varieties than the males!
